Why you should NEVER skip sunscreen

You’ve probably always been told to wear sunscreen when the sun comes out; but what if we told you that you should be wearing sunscreen daily regardless of the weather?

Wearing sunscreen is the best and easiest way to protect your skin from skin cancer as well as premature aging (and sunburns!).

Make sure to pick a sunscreen that is broad spectrum. This will protect against both UVA rays (ultra violet rays that cause skin cancer) and UVB rays (ultra violet rays that cause sunburns). UVA rays are always present, whether the sun is out or not, which is why you should be wearing sunscreen every day.

You should also pick a sunscreen that is a minimum of SPF 30. Anything below that is simply not strong enough.

Lastly, make sure to reapply your sunscreen every 2 hours if you’ll be spending time outdoors and consider other protection measures e.g. wearing wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses, and seeking shade when possible.
