What is Ultherapy®?
Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive treatment for lifting the skin on the neck, chin and brow. How Does Ultherapy Work?
Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound to the same foundational layer addressed by surgeons during cosmetic surgery – without cutting or disrupting the skin surface. The energy initiates the body’s natural response to stimulate the growth of fresh, new collagen deep within the skin, to lift and tighten over time. Meaningful, noticeable and natural-looking results occur over time, without surgery.
How Long Until I See Results From Ultherapy?
Most patients require a single treatment which typically takes about one hour, depending on areas of treatment. Patients enjoy some initial effect but the ultimate results will be revealed over 2-3 months, even up to 6 months, as tired collagen is replaced with new, more elastic collagen. We take measures to make the experience as pleasant as possible with premedication, if desired, and/or cooling fans but most patients report that the procedure is quite tolerable without any forms of anesthesia. Patients are able to return to normal activities right away.
